Andean Mysticism

The Andean mystical path is thousands of years old and is still followed today. The Q'ero Indians of Peru have begun to share their wisdom teachings with non-natives. These elders and their students are teaching many Westerners how to remember our sacred relationship to the earth, one another and the universe.

The Q'ero are the descendants of the Incas, the Children of the Sun. After many centuries of seclusion and forced labor on a hacienda, the Q'ero returned to their native villages. Their beautiful weavings describe a world where balance is maintained through reciprocity or ayni. The following articles are based on their teachings.
