August 10, 2004: Messaged from Mayan Ajq'ij

The following are notes from a conversation with Mayan Ajq'ij Carlos Barrios on August 10, 2004 regarding the latest messages and warnings from the Mayan elders in preparation for an interview on earthchangestv.com.

The elders are saying that we need to work hard, that there is not much time left. They expressed that they are angry, because although they have delivered their messages and warnings, they are not being heeded and people are not taking them seriously. They say that we need to create consciousness and to teach this to other people. Of primary concern and emphasis is the environment. Humanity has the ability to take responsibility and to limit the contamination of the environment. They say that we can do things like write letters to our representatives, take action, whatever we can to stop this contamination. They gave warnings of floods, another heat wave in Europe, and bad things from agriculture, especially in Africa. There will also be many other disasters. They warn that the Scandinavian countries can become frozen over, a process that will not happen over night but can take 5-7 years. They say that people working for the negativity are killing spiritual leaders. This happened to Don Antonio Esquinas in Santiago Attitlan, Guatemala as well as to elders in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. They are calling for unity of spiritual people and would like to see a gathering of spiritual leaders in the four corners region of the United States. We must pay attention to the prophecy of the serpent, whereby the energies must move to the south Andes. They are presently blocked in the four corners region. People need to develop their internal powers, now is the time. 2006 is a time where the energies for war and destruction are very strong, but we can stop this. The transit of Venus began the energies for a period ot destruction and confrontation. Orion is affecting the planet causing even greater destabilization. Since June 8th, the dark side has begun to show its face completely and we have begun to see more of the darkness. We will also be facing economic problems as oil is destabilizing countries. The elders are calling for a return to alternative, more natural ways of producing energy. We should continue to light candles at sunset, focusing on creating balance. We can use red, white and green candles for the environment. The elders have given all their prophecies, now the people need to take action.

We were also told that Carlos' books would be available soon in English. One is on Mayan prophecy and the other on Mayan astrology.

This is my best recollection of the telling of the prophecy. The prophecy was delivered to Gerardo Barrios, a Mayan Ajq’ij in Guatemala and brother of Carlos Barrios at the Nimaja, a sacred house in a remote area of Guatemala. The Nimaja is a special place where special elders reside. Before one is permitted to enter, a candle is waived over their head and then brought inside, where an elder inside decides if the individual should be allowed in to the house, based upon the reading of the flame. Gerardo was given permission to enter. He quickly connected with one elder, who gestured to him to mix together their sacred tzi’te beans, a rare sign of trust and acceptance. This elder then proceeded to tell Gerardo of the prophecy of the Kukulkan, or serpent and encharged him with bringing it out to the world.

Gerardo had a map with him that the elder, who had never seen a TV nor traveled outside of his village, was able to use to make geographic correlations. Gerardo was able to correlate events in the world giving a time frame to what the elder was about to tell him. The earth has a similar structure to humans in the sense that the earth has a spine and at the base of the spine lies a force of energy that is the Kukulkan, or Kundalini. The base of the spine was correlated to be with Tibet. In the 1950’s, the energy began to rise out of Tibet. The energy moved from Tibet, through Russia, across the bearing Straight and down the Rock Mountains of Alaska, Canada and the Western United States. Of course, every place this energy moved, changes ensued. There was a correlation with the Dali Lama fleeing Tibet, the hippy movement and civil rights movements in the US in the 60’s, etc. This energy continued to move down through Mexico into central America. The elder said the energy needs to reach Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, and when it does there will be brotherhood amongst humanity. What happened was when the energy hit the Panama Canal, it was like running into a break in the spine, and the energy began backing up. As it did, it resulted in problems: earthquakes, a civil war in Honduras over a soccer match, eruptions, etc. This energy continued to back up. The elder told Gerardo that he needed to conduct a sort of planetary acupuncture to move the energy back down and across the Panama Canal. This was to be done by gathering elders and shamans from different nations to do specific ceremonies at specific points that would help to move the energy down.

Thus, gatherings and ceremonies were done in Canada, Guatemala, Colombia and Chile as well as other places. The energies began to move down. What happened was someone broke from the original purpose and did a ceremony in the four corners region, out of sequence and it caused the energy to back up again and began creating stagnation in the region.

So the elders are now asking people to focus on this, with their prayers and meditations, that the energies can move down, across the Panama Canal and into the Andes and to Lake Titicaca. They are also looking to do a gathering in the four corners region to gather the energies and bring them to the south.

Carlos Barrios is a Mayan Ajq'ij, who originates from and resides in Guatemala. Carlos has been given the mission by his elders to begin sharing the prophecies and teachings of the Mayan peoples with the rest of the world. Carlos travels internationally to share these teachings and to generate awareness and support for the rescue and preservation of the ancient Mayan tradition in his homeland. Carlos is also the author of "Kam Wuj: El Libro del Destino", and out of print book on the astrology and prophecies of the Mayan peoples.
